Take your metal clay work to the next level. In this information-pack workshop students will learn how to create dimensional pieces with hollow form construction. Create tab hinges to hang earring wires. Form and create a custom bail. Then attach everything together with dry construction techniques. Students will also learn how to flush set firable CZ’s in place to create a professional finished look. A kiln is not required as student will learn how to torch fire each of the projects.

Materials Kit: PMC Flex - 15 g, Sterling silver wire, CZ’s – 2 sizes, Setting burs – 2 sizes, Form for shaping clay, Wax pick, Sandpaper, Stencil material, Super wool fiber blanket, Polishing pads
- Basic metal clay tool kit (Clay roller Non-stick working surface(plastic folder or glazed ceramic tile), Needle tool/awl, Water mister, Paintbrush(s), Release agent (Cool Slip, olive oil), Depth measuring guides or playing cards, Brass brush, Sanding equipment: files, sponges, paper, Drying plate, Tweezers, X-acto knife.
- Textures or pattern sheets
- Firing soldering set-up (Butane torch, Soldering board or Fire brick, Fire tweezers)
- Chasing hammer
- Jewelry pliers
- Polishing and finishing tools (steel wool, brass brush or flex shaft/rotary tools)
