Product Description

Description: Powdercoating has been around for years but just recently it’s exploded into the jewelry world, anything that can withstand the temp of 400 degrees has the possibility of being powder coated. The technique is quick, easy and best of all it’s an inexpensive way to add a pop of color to your pieces. There are many types of powders available including transparent, opaque, glitter and color shifting just for starters. In class you will practice basic powder applications using the different types of powder. Basic metalworking skills will be helpful for cutting metal shapes to coat but not necessary.

Skill Level: Confident Beginner/All Levels

Kit: Included in price: A face mask for particulates, Sandpaper, A variety of metal precut shapes, beads and copper washers to practice with, Jump rings 

Required Tools:  

  • Apron
  • Metal Files
  • Saw frame
  • #2 blades
  • Precut pieces of metal, found objects, wood, cork or any other object that can take  400F degree oven
